At Stars, when we say our breeding program is progressive we mean it! We try to stay ahead of the times so that our foals are what is in style and in demand! With only 6-8 foals produced a year, Stars consistently produces National & Congress Champions in each crop we have had!
Domain needs no introduction. With around 25 registered foals, he has produced extraordinary results with multiple Congress Grands & Stakes winners, multiple National Grands, Sweepstakes Champion, Futurity Supreme and numerous National and Congress winners in Halter & Driving. Over 50% of Domains get have a Congress or National title. Let that sink in!!!
We are honored to own the outstanding Michigan's Just Too Sweet. Mitch has a show record second to none. He has multiple National Stakes Championships in Pleasure and over 14 National Championships in Driving.
In 2020 Mitch proved we made the right choice for moving forward as, at the age of 10, he was again named National Champion Stallion 34-36, then Sr Champion Stallion. He topped it off winning National Stakes Champion Pleasure 34-36!
Mitch is now a Congress Grand Sire and a National Champion Sire with just a few babies on the ground!
In 2022 we added a really cool junior herd sire to our lineup. Stars Kolach E is a son of Vermilyea Hersheys Chocolate Chip, "Dutch", and out of the amazing Krisp E Kreme! His one and only filly, Stars E Clair, is a phenom and was 4th in a HUGE Futurity class giving up almost 3" to some of her competition. Kolach E is amazing and we are super impressed with his foals to date! You will be seeing more of this guys get for sure!

Domain is exactly what we had in mind when we decided to add a Shetland to our breeding program. We wanted extreme, with a long, thin neck, tiny tight barrel, refined legs and structure and the Wow factor. In 2013 & 2014 Domain won both the Congress and Nationals so Wow he has! He is extremely well bred being sired by HOT stallion, Mighigan's The King, now owned by John & Cindy Cherry. King has produced numerous National & Congress Champions with just a few impressive crops on the ground. Domain's dam is a gorgeous Navigator daughter. Photos of both his sire and dam are on his page. We are very excited to breed a few R/ASPC mares to Domain, as well as creating a few blends with a couple of our top AMHA mares.With only a dozen foals on the ground in three small crops, Domain is already a Congress Grand Champion sire and National Grand Champion sire!!! He is the STAR of our breeding program!

Mike and I were sitting at the dinner table talking about needing another stallion. With the ever growing popularity of driving, we wanted something that specialized in that area, but we wanted a horse that was beautiful enough that we could halter the babies until they were driving age. A pretty head was a must as well. SMALLER SIZE was also a big factor with all the measuring mess going on. A few minutes later a FB post popped up with Mitch being offered for sale. It was fate! We had long admired this incredible stallion, but never thought Kim would offer him for sale. We immediately called and a few minutes later the deal was done. Lucky for us she didn't have time to change her mind! Mitch's show record speaks for itself. He is a multi Stakes Champion in Pleasure, and in 2020, at the age of 10, he was both Open National Halter Champion and Stakes Champion! He truly is EVERYTHING we had been wanting. We bred the majority of our girls to Mitch in 2020 to see who his future crosses will be. You can also look for him in both Halter and Driving with Stars. Very exciting times ahead for this Sweet Stallion!!!

We are so proud of this incredible, young stallion. When Kolache was born, his crazy dam Krisp E Kreme wouldn't let us get close. We thought he was a filly because he was so extremely delicate and refined. We were going to name her Pop Tart and she would be a sister to the famous World Grand Champion Cream Puff and multi National Champion Donut. A day later we saw she was a he and joking said we needed a pastry themed name with a sausage. LOL! Thus, the name Kolach E. He was born with scarring on his eyes from too much pressure at birth. As a result, he lost an eye. It is a shame as we know he would have excelled in the show ring. He is also an incredibly fancy mover! Being blind and not halter broke, we had a time getting pics of him. Luckily, he is the sweetest stallion and loves people and attention. He has a great mind that he seems to be passing on to his babies. In 2023, he had just onefoal, Stars E Clair. She was only shown in the Futurity, but was 4th in a huge class and she was tiny out there. This year's crop are colorful, refined, beautiful headed and so upright it is crazy. Kolache is breeding true to his pedigree. His sire, Dutch, is an own son of the legendary Hershey Bar crossed on the great mare, Wa-Full Chilies Sugar Cookie. Kolache's dam is the incredible producer Krisp E Kreme. She has produced several National Champions and a World Grand Champion. At 19 years old, she is still going strong. We are thrilled to have these outstanding genetics to cross with Domain and Mitch. We look forward to a bright future with Kolache and his incredible babies! I have a feeling his accolades will catch up to those of Domain and Mitch in no time!
